LF Youtube Wordpress Plugin…
…that doesn’t make the blog shit out and die. I thought the one I found was pretty nifty, put it up on two of mine - and load times went down the shitter. I’d like to be able to embed videos though, but I don’t want to go through a good 5 or 10 plugins to find one that won’t die out. So, any suggestions? Taking the one I have on right now off of here, slow loading sites make me go nuts.
Edit: The one I was using before is called Mytube.

I’m looking for a good youtube plugin as well because some of the existing ones seem really bulky. Perhaps you wouldn’t mind letting me know if/when you find a good one? Thanks

I haven’t tested the load time yet but it certainly isn’t as bulky as e.g. Viper and works with the visual editor.

Although I hate to say this… I only came across your site because I was searching up Wordpress plugins for embedding youtube videos… Your site design looks very fresh but uh… the content isn’t really for me heh. and I think we’re both making this too complicated by wanting a plugin.
Just read over at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/53570 that I can just use the embed code given on the page to throw it in there (but make sure rich text editor is turned OFF so that the code isn’t list).

Although not sure if maybe you wanted the rich text editor - I do most of my posting via Windows Live Writer so I don’t have to log into multiple blogs, so I have rich text turned off on all of my stuff.

:) One of my requirements was that the visual editor should be enabled… although I’m fine with just html its just easier to point and click sometimes with the mouse as per the editor. Plus, if the site (others) were to be extended in the future, not everyone using it will want to use HTML (or rather… unable to) but they’d still want to post videos… hence after this REALLY long rambling (apologies) my point is… I think this plugin is great as its minimal fuss
